What is MOTS-c?
MOTS-c (Mitochondrial Open Reading Frame of the 12S rRNA-c) is encoded within the mitochondrial genome and was first identified as a regulator of metabolic homeostasis. In research models, it is studied for AMPK pathway activation, its influence on glucose uptake and insulin sensitivity, and its behaviour as a stress-response signal communicating between mitochondria and nucleus. Ongoing research explores its relevance to metabolic ageing and exercise physiology. Each batch is independently verified for purity, identity, and endotoxin levels, with a COA provided per lot.
